WORK
The Digital Designer will take responsibility for the creation of digital online content and assets for our new e-commerce website launching next year. You will use your creative design skills to produce content that aligns with our brand and strategy. Content includes multimedia, graphics and videos for socials, web and other promotional materials. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing and effective digital assets that enhance the online presence and user experience of our products.

You shall have formal design training, plus relevant professional experience. You will be open to additional training on new design principles and emerging technologies. It is expected that you will be comfortable working autonomously and be comfortable taking on responsibility for the delivery of any project assigned. Applicants with experience leading creative teams and designing with other professionals will be given priority consideration.

It will be advantageous you have an intimate understanding of how marketing campaigns work for SMB, including (but not limited to); Socials, Google and SEO.

Exceptional technical skills, the ability to manage your time and schedule easily and a genuine interest in design are essential in this role.

▪ Drafting project briefs and presenting your ideas to the relevant departments and third parties
▪ Creating, managing, and producing digital design solutions for a variety of uses: websites, product graphics, email templates, social media graphics, brand campaigns, and photography
▪ Managing and maintaining live interactive content
▪ Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications
▪ Interdepartmental communication and collaboration to ensure a unified approach
▪ Consistent delivery of brand imagery and digital design
▪ Enhancing user interfaces while adhering to branding and industry principles for design
▪ Working with wireframes (high and low fidelity) into functional user experiences inc. mock-ups
▪ Analysing existing content for improvement
▪ Overseeing the effective implementation of content assets
▪ Maintaining current knowledge and insight on industry trends, including new digital design technologies
▪ Taking part in design and strategy meetings
▪ Incorporating user feedback into new designs
▪ Ability to participate in a variety of projects outside of core brands
▪ Ability to think dynamically and come up with creative solutions
▪ Maintaining and improving the creative footprint on multiple associated products and brands
▪ Be willing to make key decisions when required
▪ Ability to work under pressure in line with tight deadlines and changing priorities

SKILLS
▪ Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Graphic Design role (or similar)
▪ Advanced skills across the Adobe Creative Design Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, PremierPro and Illustrator
▪ Experience in Microsoft based operating systems and office products
▪ Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
▪ Digital design experience across different multimedia assets such as (but not limited to); EDMs, web banners, landing pages, websites, digital assets, socials, product
▪ Demonstrate a portfolio of diverse design work
▪ Experience editing video and short clips
▪ Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
▪ Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients

In addition, the following skills will be favoured upon;
▪ Photography skills
▪ Experience with design system software such as (but not limited to); Figma and Miro
▪ Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and associated coding principles
▪ Developing and implementing creative campaigns
▪ Experience in UI/UX including sitemaps, wireframes and user flows
▪ Experience in App development and associated design methodologies in this space
▪ Working knowledge of SEO and SEM methodologies
▪ Knowledge in Google Analytics reporting
▪ Proficiency in photo retouching and digital image composition
